About Mecaware

Mecaware produces recycled strategic metals (lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese) from battery waste.

Thanks to our innovative effluent-free process, notably sulfate-free, we limit our impact on the environment and locate our plant as close as possible to the deposits, in situ for Gigafactories.

Our entire team shares a common vision: to transform the battery sector and make the circular economy a reality.

Join us in building a more sustainable and responsible European low-carbon battery industry.

The position

As manager of our pre-industrial hydrometallurgy pilot line, your mission will be to test and validate the various stages of our process for extracting metals from batteries, with a view to optimizing it on a large scale.

Installation and commissioning

  • Manage the installation stages of the pre-industrial pilot (coordination of suppliers, monitoring of work, acceptance of equipment).

  • Participate in equipment qualification and draft commissioning protocols.

  • Identify discrepancies between design and field reality and propose corrective solutions.

Pilot operation

  • Plan test campaigns and ensure that they run smoothly on site.

  • Ensure optimal operation of equipment (settings, adjustments, first-level maintenance).

  • Ensures the safety of operations and contributes to risk analysis processes, using and/or developing existing procedures.

  • Collecting, making reliable and analyzing operating data to provide feedback.

Upgrading and optimization

  • Identify any technical or organizational bottlenecks slowing down the ramp-up process, and take corrective action.

  • Work closely with R&D teams to adapt the process to industrial realities.

  • Participate in plant upgrades (PFD, P&ID, material balances, sizing).

Link with R&D teams

  • Translate R&D objectives into usable test plans on the pilot.

  • Participate in capitalizing on test data to feed product/process development.

  • Provide input on technical orientations to be validated by the pilot.
